Our Story
At GCS, our story is rooted in innovation, experience, and a relentless drive to transform the way carriers connect. Many of our core team members have been working together for over 25 years, building networks, platforms, and software that have shaped the global telecom industry.
Our journey began at ITXC, the first wholesale carrier to deliver voice over the public internet. At a time when many believed carrier-grade voice couldn’t be done over the internet, we proved otherwise—growing ITXC into one of the largest wholesale carriers in the world. As the engineering, software development, and operations teams, we built the tools and technology that made it possible to manage, deploy, and scale the network.
After ITXC, we joined InfiniRoute, another startup where we once again built a carrier network and software platform from the ground up. This time, our services powered some of the world’s largest telecoms—including AT&T, Sprint, Telefónica, and Orange—as their white-label VoIP interconnect solutions.
In 2006, we founded GCS with a clear vision: to give carriers the ability to operate and scale their voice interconnect businesses profitably through automation and intelligence. From day one, we built our software from scratch, including the industry’s first Dynamic SIP Routing Engine—a breakthrough that enabled carriers to optimize routing at the most granular level, maximizing both profitability and quality.
Today, GCS continues to disrupt the industry with a comprehensive suite of software applications and services purpose-built for carrier interconnect. We remain true to our origins—innovators who engineer solutions that empower our customers to thrive in an evolving telecom landscape
