Cost (LCR)
Traditional least cost routing, the starting point for every other lever.
Quality (QoS)
Automated quality management on ABR, ALOC, ASR and NER, in real time.
Margin
No-loss routing that protects the margin on every call.
Revenue
Route toward revenue goals when volume matters more than unit cost.
Product and service level
Different routing for different products and the service levels you sell.
Bi-lateral and swap deals
Honor commitments to bi-lat and swap partners while the rest stays optimized.
Credit
Routing that respects vendor and customer credit positions.
Origination
Origination based routing and rating, including the Euro zone.
SPID
Route on the service provider ID behind the dialed number.
LNP and LCADs
U.S. domestic routing and rating on ported numbers and local calling areas.
Short duration blending
Blend short duration calls so they do not penalize your vendor relationships.
Rules
Your own rules, layered on top, for the cases only your team knows about.
Automated failover and quality monitoring run alongside every lever, so a route that degrades stops receiving traffic without anyone rewriting a table.
Dial-code based by design
An early design choice at GCS was to build the routing solution around dial codes. Routing decisions are made at the dial-code level, for international and U.S. domestic calls alike, and with A-number routing the engine looks at the dial code the call comes from as well as the one it is going to.
That is what lets ICP control routing at the most granular level available, across these routing types:
- Least cost
- International
- U.S. inter/intrastate
- LNP
- Priority based
- Inter/intra-LATA
- Non-conforming ANI
- Service level based
- Percentage based
- A# origination
- QoS based
- LCADs
- MNP
- Pre-trans
- Off-set
