GCS partners with Neustar, iconectiv and Somos to provide validated numbering data that feeds straight into the ICP routing engine, so every call is routed and rated on current data.
Each database is incorporated into ICP's real-time routing determination and applied call by call.
Through its partnership with Neustar, GCS has real-time access to the NPAC, the database that holds every phone number and its current local routing number.
ICP uses that data in the routing decision to optimize each call. Any voice service provider that offers services in the U.S. and wants to optimize the routing and cost of those calls needs it.
Access to mobile number portability data in many countries: the ported status and local routing number for each number. For carriers that provide voice services in, into or out of those countries, it improves routing and cost management.
Local calling area information for the U.S. and Canada, including the business and residential local calling area plans of local service providers.
Under a distribution agreement signed in 2021, GCS provides the routing information for each 8XX number, including the CIC owner and the RESPORG owner.
Real-time access to the Somos Real Number Do Not Originate database, which identifies fraudulent spoofing of businesses' toll-free numbers.
The databases are provided on a monthly or annual subscription, and can be activated within days.
Toll-free works the other way around: the called party pays, and the network that originates the call is compensated by the carrier that owns the number.
Most carriers hand off-net toll-free calls to an aggregator, which distributes them and pays the originating carrier - and whose incentive is to pay as little as possible.
With the Somos toll-free registry data available on every call, the GCS routing engine knows which carrier or RespOrg terminates each toll-free number. ICP can then send those calls directly to the number owner, so the originating carrier receives the inter-carrier compensation itself.
GCS has built the Somos DNO data into its real-time routing engine. Calls that spoof a business's toll-free number are blocked before the carrier's network processes them.
The platform every call runs through. ICP-Route decides where each call goes and ICP-Rate rates, bills and settles it, on one set of data from vendor rate sheet to invoice.
