Ummm, okay. Not sure why you would ask that, but I'll try to answer it. I mean, it's kind of like asking, why is water so important or why do we need air? You know, stuff that is essential for living.
Dynamic Routing is the ability to adjust call routing in real-time based on network, quality, or commercial considerations. There is no more static based Least Cost Routing table. Get that out of your mind. It sort of worked, way back when, but in today's interconnect voice market the ability for suppliers to come and go, and the fluctuations of quality have created an environment where dynamic routing is no longer a nice-to-have, but a must/need-to-have.
At GCS, we have always been about Dynamic Routing. In fact, way back in 2008/2009 when we launched our interconnect voice management solution, we called our routing solution "Dynamic Routing".
Our platform takes all the available data: rates, quality performance, commercial needs, and routing rules, and crunches all that data, and on a call-by-call basis creates a new routing instruction. Pretty cool right? I know.
Our Dynamic Routing Platform is helping carriers all over the world. Currently we process more than 8 Billion unique call attempts per month. That's a lot of attempts.
So, Dynamic Routing is important. In fact, it might be the most important tool in a carrier's interconnect voice tool box.
